  11. Prof.Majrooh Rashid -a vetern scholar of the Kashmiri Language & Literature. He joined the Department in 1991 as lecturer and finally elevated to the position of Head of the Department. He served as Director Haba Khatoon Centre for Kashmiri Language and Literature IUST and  remained twice Head, Department of Kashmiri University of Kashmir. He taught Kashmiri Classical Poetry,Literary Criticism,Modern Poetry and Practical Criticism.
